City planner speaks to Kiwanis Club

Kristi Gross explained her duties as the new Lake City Planning and Community Development staff member.

She works closely with the Port Authority staff on issues that are east of Highway 61 and with other staff on all other properties west of 61. One of those is the nearly 80 acres called the Cemstone parcel. About 40 acres are developable for one of our most urgent needs, affordable housing, which she defined as housing priced between two and three hundred thousand dollars for “working type families.”
