Club prepares for 50th fishing tournament
The Lake City Sportsman’s Club was a busy place Feb. 10 as members prepared the clubhouse for its annual ice fishing tournament on Feb. 17.
About 20 people were on hand Saturday, and organizer Mandy Edelbach said about 80 volunteers were working on the contest.
The contest is always a big event for the club, but this year is special for a few reasons. First, its the 50th anniversary of the club’s first ice fishing contest as well as the construction of its clubhouse at 2200 S. Oak Street.
