Georgian foreign exchange student speaks to Kiwanis Club

Lincoln High School foreign exchange student Irakli Surmanidze was the guest speaker at a Lake City Kiwanis Club meeting.

Irakli was nicknamed “Rocky” by his new friends and classmates at Lincoln High. His home is the country of Georgia which is the crossroads of Europe and Asia and is located on the Black Sea.

Georgians,who are mostly Orthodox Christians with a very unique language unlike any other, live in a modern country that is smaller than Minnesota with a population of 3.5 million.
