Lions, Sportsman’s Club continue Christmas tree collection tradition

Members of the Lake City Lions and Lake City Sportsman’s Clubs gathered on Saturday, Jan. 11 for the annual Christmas tree pick up event.

What started as a project of the Lake City Jaycees more than 40 years ago was assumed by the Lions Club when the Jaycees folded. The Sportsman’s Club joined the project about ten years ago.

Residents could leave their Christmas trees on the corner of their block to await pickup.
