Lake City art gallery owner and artist Willow Gentile has received a grant to do pleinair (outdoor) paintings of three historic libraries in Minnesota.

The Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) announced the award—a $3,000 Emerging Artist grant—on March 21. It was one of 36 grants totalling $143,810 announced by the organization. The money comes from the state arts and cultural heritage fund via the Minnesota State Arts Board.
