Many people, groups at work on Governor’s Fishing Opener
The committee working behind the scenes to bring the Governor’s Fishing Opener to Lake City May 9-11 met for a monthly meeting Monday, April 22, at the Lake City Chamber of Commerce office in downtown Lake City.
“This is our core planning committee,” Chamber Events Coordinator Heather Thomas said. “We have met once a month since November 2023. We had multiple committees within this group including Boat Hosts/Fishing, Sponsorship, Registration, Shore Lunch, Launch Ceremony, etc.
