City approves levy, budget
The Lake City City Council held its annual Truth in Taxation Meeting during its regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, before unanimously approving the final budget and levy for the coming year.
The Truth in Taxation meeting included a presentation on the city property tax levy from City Finance Director Jerome Illg, as well as a public hearing to give people the opportunity to address the City Council regarding the tax proposal before the levy and budget are approved.
