Downtown Hotel Proposed

A property owner who owns three adjoining properties wants to build a hotel on the former Conoco corner.

If the plans come together, the development would leave the proposed Lake Pepin Interpretive Centre looking for a new home.

The corner is owned by the Lake City Economic Development Authority (EDA). It was deeded to the city after Kwik Trip purchased it.

The potential developer, Dave Rodewald, met with the EDA board and representatives of Destination Lake City, which is planning the interpretive center.
