Gophers beware: Townships hold meetings, elections

Townships held annual meetings–and many also held elections–on March 13. Here are some reports based on information provided by the respective township clerks.

Belvidere Township

Incumbent supervisor Henry Thomforde was re-elected, as was inumbent clerk Patricia Stemmann. 21 people voted in the election. The township levy will remain at $140,000.

Chester Township

Craig Lewer was re-elected supervisor. Emily Klapperich succeeds Krista Luhmann as township clerk. Luhmann did not seek re-election.
