House move leaves Lake City in the hole

Some members of the Lake City City Council appeared to be experiencing sellers remorse even before the council voted 4-3 to accept a proposal to move a house on city-owned property to another lot in the city.

The city had housed ambulance service personnel in the house next to City Hall after purchasing it in 2013. The city’s new public safety building opened in July with living quarters, and the ambulance personnel moved there.
