Mayo staffing up for surgery in Lake City
Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City is in the process of recruiting staff so it can resume offering surgeries in Lake City, according to a spokesperson.
“Surgery was temporarily shut down as part of our COVID-19 response, and has not reopened yet,” Mayo Lake City spokesperson Kristy Jacobson said in an email. “Staffing across the region continues to be impacted by the pandemic, and we are in the process of hiring staff specifically for Lake City to support our surgical practice. We plan to reopen surgery when we have staff in place.”
