Mayor - City could still receive bonding money

Both the state House of Representatives and Senate failed to pass bonding bills in the waning moments of the 2020 legislative session.

A $2 billion bonding bill in the DFL-led House fell six votes shy of the 60 percent needed for approval. A $998 million bonding proposal backed by Republicans who are the majority in the Senate fell three votes shy of passage.
