Port Authority sets deadline for purchase agreement on downtown property

The former gas station property at 303 S. Lakeshore Drive in Lake City could be back on the market in the coming months.

In April the Lake City Port Authority, which owns the site, approved a purchase agreement with Rochester-based Meier Companies for $190,000. The company intended to use the land and other parcels on the block to construct condominium housing. In June the Port Authority held another hearing and again approved the sale.
