Benjamin Wiebusch obituary
Benjamin James Wiebusch, 49, of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at his home in Minneapolis on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born to Dean and Joyce (Brehmer) Wiebusch on June 28, 1975, in Lake City, Minnesota.
Ben graduated from Lincoln High School in 1993 and then attended the University of Wisconsin – Stout and graduated in 2003. Ben obtained a BA in Hotel and Restaurant Management and went on to build a successful career in sales. During his lifetime he lived and worked in Lake City, Menomonie, Wisconsin, Wisconsin Dells area, and for the last 15 years he resided in Minneapolis. Ben worked for Holiday Inn, the Kalahari Resort, IHG, Crowne Plaza, Sage Hospitality, and Remington Hotels. Over the years, he built friendships with co-workers and clients that became his family. Because of his career, he loved to travel and cook with his extended family.
He had a competitive spirit, that was amplified during the football season when he was cheering on the Packers and when playing games. Ben was a lover of trains and his family; a light has left us all.
Ben is survived by his sister, Christin (Dale) Conroy of Red Wing. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
