Blanche Hanna-White Obituary

Blanche was born Jan. 10, 1923 to John and Floretta Hanna in Wabasha County and passed away in Olmsted County June 9, 2016.
    Blanche married Harlan Cardwell White, decorated World War II Navy veteran.
    She graduated high school in Lake City and attended St. Theresa’s College in Winona.
    As a talented seamstress and great cook, she won local and state 4H awards.
    She taught sewing at Singer Sewing Center then owned and managed the Linden Hotel and worked for the Kahler and Carlton hotels.  
    Most of all she enjoyed laughter and telling tall tales with her many cherished friends.
    Survived by children, C.C. White, Evelyn (Robert) McAdams and Mary Jane (Gayle) Cowden; grandchildren, Tina Cowden, Chase and Heath Cowden, Todd, Kevin and Greg McAdams, great-grandchildren, Isiah, Talon, Allee, Aryss and Emily McAdams, Cullen and Finley Chase.
    At her request she donated to the Mayo Clinic Anatomical Program and will be cremated.
    There will be a Celebration of Life in July 2016.  Private burial will be at Fort Snelling.
