Blaze Himle obituary

Blaze tragically lost his life January 8, 2023, in a snowmobile accident.
Blaze Leland Himle was born December 30, 2010 in La Crosse, Wis. to Marie Himle. Since the day he was born he was a fighter and strong little man being born two months early. Blaze attended Bluff View Elementary School in Lake City, Minn. where he was currently in 6th grade.
Blaze loved his family so much, especially his mom and his Papa. Since he was young, trucking ran in that boy’s blood and he lived for that truck and was beyond excited to be able to finally go to California last summer not only once, but three times with his Papa in his truck. Anything that was outdoors-related he loved. Fishing was one thing he loved doing with his mom’s boyfriend, Cory, that boy would fish all summer. But, in the fall came hunting, he was looking forward to using his two new guns he got for his birthday and Christmas to shoot a big buck next year. Blaze loved animals, especially his cat, Groot, and guinea pig, Tratter. His cousins Tori and Colton were two of his best friends he had a special bond with each of them. Blaze had two half-sisters, Dessiree and Arlette Jarett, whom he loved and was very protective of.
Blaze is survived by his mother, Marie Himle (Cory Bendickson) of Theilman, Minn.; grandpa (Papa) and grandma Dannie and Melody Himle, Theilman; great grandma Norma Himle, Kasson; great grandma (Squirrel lady) Edith Spittler, Wabasha, Minn.; aunt Teresa (Leo) Newman, Wabasha; aunt Renay Himle (Tyler Evers) Zumbro Falls, Minn.; cousins Tori Newman, Wabasha, Colton Weichel, Zumbro Falls; two half-sisters, Arlette and Dessiree Jarrett, Lake City; two very close family friends grandma Sue Brandt and uncle Jared Brandt; godfathers Zane Hayden, Theilman, and Sean Hayden, Kasson.
Preceded in death by his great grandpa Donald Himle and family friends Roy Eggenberger and Bud Meyer.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at First Lutheran Church in Lake City. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Theilman.
