Christopher Tepley obituary

    Christopher J. Tepley, 51, of Lake City passed away on January 1, 2022 in Florence Township.
    Christopher was born March 6, 1970 to Larry and Lois (Bystrom) Tepley in Minneapolis, Minn. Chris was a graduate from the Lincoln High School class of 1988. He held several jobs, but a few of his favorites were being a sous chef at Waterman’s for many years and a supervisor for Carr’s Tree Service. He had a great love of the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping, boating, cooking, 4-wheeling, gardening, playing tennis and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, humor, kind heart, positive outlook on life, the best bonfires and beautiful soul. He brought a light into this world that will live on in all of our hearts.
    Christopher is survived by his “Momsie”, Lois Tepley of Lake City,  the love of his life and best friend, Sandy Kittleson Miller, of Lake City, four  children, Naoto (Lauren Kaartinen) Lichtblau-Tepley of Minneapolis, Colette Lichtblau-Tepley of Lake City, Jacob and Eli Miller of Lake City; sister, Jennifer (Daren Sievers) Tepley of Lake City; brother, Jonathon Tepley of Lake City; nephews, Elliot and Chrisjon Mahn; nieces, Madeleine and Sophia Mahn; aunt, Carol (Larry) Partington of Winona; uncle, Bill (Marlis) Bystrom of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Don (Andrea) Kittleson of Rochester, Sam (Lisa) Kittleson of Lake City; and several very special cousins, Brad, Bret, Becky, Jodi, Todd, Stacey and his Tepley cousins.
    He is preceded by his father, Larry Tepley, maternal grandparents, Marcella and Marvin Bystrom, paternal grandparents, Julia and Jess Tepley, uncle Jim Bystrom and an aunt, Sheila Bystrom Kirkwood.
    A Private Mass was held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Matt Fasnacht officiating.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
    A memorial fund is being set up at Alliance Bank in Lake City benefiting Christopher Tepley and Sandy Kittleson Miller’s family.
