Edward Borner obituary

Edward Henry Borner Jr., 86, of Apache Junction, Ariz. died peacefully Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was born in Lampson, Wis. to Edward and Helen (Hogan) Borner Sr. He spent his youth living in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. In 1953 he graduated from Lake City High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On May 31, 1958, he married the love of his life, Helen Giehtbrock. They shared 64 years of marriage. His career with Control Data Corporation took him from Minnesota to California, where he made his home for 36 years. He was a member of the Elks, Kiwanis, VFW and the Lutheran Church. He retired in 1990. Ed and Helen spent time traveling in their motorhome. In 1997, they settled in Arizona.
    Edward is survived by his wife, Helen; his son Edward (Lois) Borner of Buffalo, Minn; his daughter Christine (Daniel) Lutke of Santa Clara, Calif.; his grandchildren, Cole, Helen and Hannah Lutke; his sisters, Nancy (Darwin) Meyers of Lake City, Tena Marie (Bob) Clark of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; many cousins, nieces and nephews.     He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Erik Karl and his brother, John. Services will be in Arizona.
