Farnk Anderson Obituary

Frank Joseph Anderson Jr., 63, of Zumbro Falls, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 in a car accident in Red Wing.
    He was born on April 19, 1954 to parents Frank and Marcia (Hawkinson) Anderson of Prior Lake, Minn. Frank graduated from Benilde High School and received his undergraduate degree in English education and literature from the University of Minnesota.
    Frank was dedicated to relief work in war-torn areas with ARC in Southeast Asia, the Balkan Peninsula and Afghanistan. He was a committed advocate for the developmentally challenged while working at Bear Creek Services in Rochester and ARRM in St. Paul.  He was also an avid farmer, animal lover, hunter, fisherman, and musician who would always entertain with his quick wit and sense of humor.
    Frank loved his work, his friends, his family, his animals and most of all, his sons. He is survived by his sons, Martin (Crysta) Anderson and John (Marissa) Anderson; grandchildren, Harvey and Lorelei; his mother, Marcia Anderson; sisters, Barb (Mike) Heinz, Kathy Anderson and Terry Anderson; brothers, Tim (Cathy) Anderson, Dan (Isabelle) Anderson and Jeff (Katy) Anderson; and former spouse, Siripen Seepaya. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Frank is preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Anderson Sr., sister, Mary Hoody and maternal and paternal grandparents.
    All are invited to attend a wake at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Frank’s memorial service will be Thursday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Lake City with Rev. Phillip Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.
