Joanne Hensley obituary

    Joanne Hensley, 56, of Lake City passed away May 8, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
    Joanne was born Dec. 12, 1964 in Middletown, Ohio to James & Ardis (Clickner) Hardy. Joanne was a hard worker in the PCA field for 20 years in the Lake City area. She was always willing to help others in need, but hated asking for any help for herself. She had a quick wit, was very stubborn, but had a heart of gold. She will be missed by all who knew her. Joanne loved outdoor activities, like camping, fishing, hiking and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
    She is survived by her children, Josh Hensley of Lake City, James Hensley of Red Wing, Cheryl (Andy) Clemons of Falmouth, Ky; seven grandchildren, Brayden Hensley, Leland Hensley, Natalie Salazar-Hensley, Valeire Salazar-Hensley, Austin Clemons, Danica Clemons, Dylan Clemons; five siblings, Barbara Mann of Lake City, Terry Helton of Racine, Minn., Mary Reyes of Stewartville, Minn., Andy (Tracy) Hardy of Reads Landing, Minn., Myron (Jessica) Hardy of Lake City. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clyde Banks Jr.
    A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Lake City with Pastor John Hodgell officiating. Masks and social distancing are required.
