Judith Srnec Obituary

Judith “Judy” Srnec (Whempner) of Lake City passed away at home on Friday, July 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Judy taught kindergarten in Spring Lake Park for many years. After retiring to Lake City with Jim, her husband of 54 years, she became a regular volunteer at the care center. She enjoyed friends, books, playing the slots and sipping chardonnay on a warm summer day. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her thoughtfulness and her love and loyalty for family and friends.
Judy will be deeply missed by husband, James Srnec; daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Kutzke and Andrea (Mike) Raab; grandchildren, Katie, Nick, John, Alex and Jacob; sisters, Marsha (Gary) Alexander, Phyllis (Adrian) Gilbert and Janet Conrad; brother-in-law, Joe (Dorothy) Srnec; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy’s family would like to thank her friends and relatives for all the visits, calls, cards and care packages delivered over the past year — they meant the world to her. Special thanks to Kay and Abby from Mayo hospice and niece Midge Srnec for making her feel loved and cared for in her final days.
At Judy’s request, there will be no service. If you would like to honor her memory, she would ask that you do something kind for someone.
Condolences and memories may be left for Judy’s family at www.schleicherfuneralhomes.com.
