Kyle Nordby Obituary

Kyle Richard Nordby,  29, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018 at his residence.  
    He was born Feb. 13, 1989 in Lake City to Brian Nordby and Mary Garner. After graduating from Plainview High School, Kyle entered the Army where he served in Iraq. Kyle then moved to Rochester where he attended RCTC.  He enjoyed reading, spending time outside, taking his dogs for hikes, but most of all spending time with his friends and family.
    Kyle is survived by his mother, Mary Garner of Harmony; father, Brian (Mary) Nordby of Bay City; sister, Hannah Nordby of Northfield; two brothers, Brandon (Bailey) Nordby of Durand, Wis. and Devin Funk of Rochester; maternal grandfather, Albert Garner of Harmony; paternal grandparents, Richard and Rosemary Nordby of Lake City; four aunts, Jill Garner of Mabel, Minn., Jennifer Garner of Whalan, Minn., Kathy Peck of Lake City, and Diane (Mike) Hilden of Stockton, Minn.; uncle, David (Bev) Nordby of Alexandria, Minn.; two nephews, Brighton and Sean; and two nieces, Grace and Caitlyn. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Janice Garner and cousin, Michael Garner.
    A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson Peterson Chapel in Lake City.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.mahn familyfuneralhome.com.
