Wade Wurst obituary

Wade Wurst, 62, Hartland, Maine died Monday, July 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by his step-children following a long battle with cancer.
He was born January 9, 1963 in Lake City, Minn. to Willie and Rosie (Brostrom) Wurst. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1981. Shortly after graduating he went into the Army.
After the Army he moved around until finally settling down in Massachusetts and worked for Holt & Bug Bee in the lumber yard. He met Tina Sawettle. They were married on June 27, 1998. They eventually moved to Hartland, Maine. Tina passed away on December 18, 2019.
Wade is survived by his four step-children: Ed, Christina, Keith and Michelle; one brother, Bart Wurst of Rochester, Minn.; one sister, Lynn (Brock) Nibbe of Lake City; nephew, Andrew Martin of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Tina and his parents.
There will be a Celebration of Life on September 20 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the VFW in Lake City.
