County sponsors turtle crossings project application

Wabasha County Commissioners on June 17 approved a resolution agreeing to be a project proposer and sponsor for a Wabasha County County Road 84 Turtle Crossings project application to the Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program (WCPP).
The WCPP, a competitive grant program, works to reduce Wildlife Vehicle Collisions (WVCs) while improving habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species, according to information at highways.dot.gov.
