Lowther wins World Series of fast pitch softball

Pat Lowther of Lake City is a World Series champion after winning the NAFA 60-year-old championship with his fast-pitch softball team in Wisconsin over the weekend.

Team members travel from as far as Idaho for the one-day tournament, Lowther said. His team won six games that day to claim the title.

“The nicest part about it is last year we got skunked and we decided this year that wasn’t going to happen again, so we just went out and won it all,” he said.
