Tennis boys suffer loss in Section 4A quarterfinal

The Lake City Tiger boys tennis team took on the St. Paul Academy Spartans in Section 4A quarterfinal action in St. Paul May 16 and were defeated 7-0.
“Due to rainy conditions, we played this match at a small St. Paul neighborhood on green clay courts,” said Coach David Toole.  “It was really fun for the kids because they had never played on clay before.”
Jacob Miller stepped into the No. 1 singles spot and was outplayed 2-6, 3-6.
At No. 2 singles, Tyler Johnson played well but was outlasted 4-6, 3-6.
