Tennis girls defeat Cannon Falls 6-1

The Lake City girls Tiger tennis team defeated Cannon Falls 6-1 on Sept. 11 at home.
Lake City gave up their lone point in a three-set battle at No. 1 doubles.  Katherine Kennedy and Renae Harvey lost the first set 2-6.  They came back for a 6-4 win in the second.  In the third set they were edged 4-6 in the loss.
At No. 2 doubles Kaylee Muenzhuber and Maddie Medvec went two sets in the win, 6-3, 6-4.
Elsie Weinrich and Dorothy Holland pulled out the win at  No. 3 doubles in a three set tiebreaker route, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.
In singles play, Lake City swept the bracket.
