Tiger girls beat Pine Island 53-35
On Thursday night the Lake City Tiger girls basketball team opened 2024 by hosting Pine Island and winning 53-35.
It was a very slow paced first 10 minutes of the game. Both teams were struggling on the offensive side. Lake City did put together a good run to end the 1st half. This effort had the Tigers ahead 21-12 at the half.
The second half had many similarities to the last 5 minutes of the first half. The Tigers were able to stay out of foul trouble and pull away as the half progressed.
