Tigers battle with Saints ends in Lake City win
Though the Lake City Tigers volleyball team easily beat St. Charles in regular and post-season games last year, the Saints had just come off a big win against Zumbrota-Mazeppa and were ready to upset another rival.
Try as they may, though, the Tigers handed the Saints their first loss of the season winning three of four games Aug. 29.
The Tigers and Saints battled back and forth pretty evenly through the first few points until Lake City pulled away from a 3-3 tie and never looked back.
