Hotel plans start down two-year process

It will take about two years to bring a new downtown Lake City hotel to fruition if it is going to be built, members of Destination Lake City (DLC) were told Wednesday morning.

That time line is getting a start this week as local leaders and the Economic Development Authority (EDA) begin examining the proposal.

An 80-room hotel with a conference center, upper level condominiums and probably a parking structure is being proposed by Lake City native Dave Rodewald.
