Boe: Housing scarcity is impacting schools; apartment buildings could help

A demographic shift is taking place in Lake City that will lead to significant changes to our city if not addressed. At the April 18 Lake City School board meeting there was an agenda item about a proposal to not replace a retiring music teacher’s position next school year. This situation is a stark reminder of the monumental change at the Lake City schools if a housing shortage is not addressed.
