Cadie Wolf honored for work on behalf of people with mitochondrial disease

On June 29 Catherine “Cadie” Wolf of Lake City received the Heartstrings Award from the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) in Nashville, Tenn.

The UMDF Heartstrings Award recognizes a child or teen in the United States that has donated or raised funds for UMDF and enabled the UMDF to continue its mission. The winner is chosen based on related criteria of age, time invested, talent demonstrated, effectiveness, and generosity and how the individual has “tugged at the heartstrings.”
