Chamber director: Manufacturers deserve our thanks
Manufacturers around Minnesota are celebrated the first week of October every year in what has been dubbed Minnesota Manufacturing Week. Governor Dayton signed a proclamation making the week an official celebration due to the immense impact manufacturing has on the health and strength of our economy. Some interesting facts regarding manufacturing in Minnesota include.
• The manufacturing industry contributed $49.2 billion to Minnesota’s economy in 2017.
• Manufacturing accounts for 16% of Minnesota’s gross domestic product.
