Historical Society welcomes students to City Hall

The exemplary students of James Heise’s AP U.S. History (APUSH) class visited City Hall last Wednesday and were given a warm welcome by ex-Mayor Katie Himanga of the Lake City Historical Society and current Mayor Mark Nichols. Katie and fellow LCHS board member Anne Tabat spoke briefly about significant events and people in Lake City history and directed their attention to our displays, the historic ballroom and the basket of cookies provided for them. All were received with deference and interest.
