Lake City man helps Texas town land $400,000 grant

A Lake City resident’s efforts are helping a Texas community rebuild following Hurricane Harvey.
The Mustang Island town of about 3,500 on Texas’ gulf coast found itself in the path of the Category 4 hurricane last summer, which caused an estimated $125 billion in damage in the state.
Among the structures destroyed was a 500-foot boardwalk and observation tower popular among the tourists, especially bird-watchers, who come to Port Aransas.
