Legion donates $5,000 for scout winter camping opportunities
On Monday, Nov. 27, Lake City American Legion Post 110 presented $1,000 to Cub Scouts Pack 94 and $4,000 to Scouts BSA Troop 94 in continued support of local scouting activities.
The funds for the Pack will be used for a winter outing at Gamehaven Scout Reservation in Rochester, Minn. “Operation Icicle” gives the youngest scouts an opportunity to learn early Scouting skills such as communication, teamwork, and advancements while enjoying a weekend of lodge camping, according to a news release.
