Local Lions feed wagon train

Members of the Lake City Lions Club were up early Saturday to feed breakfast to participants in the Friendship Wagon Train.

Train participants came from around the country, covered wagons in tow, for a journey through southeastern Minnesota for fun and to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota by collecting donations and selling t-shirts.

For the Lake City club, it was a way to help fellow Lions – many on the wagon train were Lions Club members, they said – and a way to support the Special Olympics, a long-time Lions cause.
