District to go it alone with Bluff View expansion referendum

When the Lake City School Board voted in July to hold a referendum on a $12 million Bluff View Elementary School expansion, Supt. Erick Enger was optomistic that there would be a general election ballot Nov. 7 where the district could place its question.
Since such a ballot hasn’t materialized, the district is left with a less desirable plan B: holding a special election on its own.
The difference for voters is that there will be just one polling place to cast their vote, Lincoln High School.
