Lt. Gov. Tina Smith announced recipients of round two funding for Minnesota’s “Border-to-Border Broadband” fund on the final day of the Blandin Foundation’s annual broadband conference on Friday, Nov. 20. Fifteen applications throughout the state – including one in rural Goodhue County, one near Whitewater State Park, and another in Winona County – will share $11 million in available funding and leverage an additional $18 million in private or local funds for a total $39 million investment in rural broadband for Minnesota’s hardest-to-reach areas.
