Tony Hebert Memorial donates $1,000 to Lake City Food Shelf

The Tony Hebert Memorial donated $1,000 to the Lake City Food Shelf last week.

“This is exactly the type of thing this fund was set up for,” said Bob Hebert, “Tony cared so much for this community he went to fight the war on terrorism to help protect it. The Memorial fund was established to continue his commitment.”

With the COVID-19 crisis currently affecting the community, Tony’s mother Laurie Hebert wanted to reach out to support the community.

“We felt the food shelf was a great place to start. As if to reaffirm that decision we got the bonus of finding out Tony’s donation would be doubled by the Five for Food campaign which is running a campaign in which they will match all cash donations of five dollars or more to the Food Shelf,” the Heberts said.

Funds from the Tony Hebert Memorial are made available through donations collected as the community comes together to support and celebrate Tony’s memory at the Tony Hebert Memorial Golf Tournament held every year at the Lake City Golf Course in August.
