Sievert to be Lake City's city administrator

Mark Sievert, the city administrator in Fergus Falls, will become the new city administrator in Lake City after the first of the year.

The exact starting date has yet to be worked out.

Sievert was selected from a field of four finalists who interviewed for the position Friday and Saturday.

The City Council voted to offer the position to Sievert following final interviews Saturday.

City Administrator to retire
Lake City City Administrator Mark Sievert will retire next year. The City Council on Nov. 13 voted to accept his retirement resignation, which will take effect “on or about May 2,” according to an Oct. 27 email from Sievert to the council included in the meeting packet.
