Library nearly set to come back home

The Lake City Public Library has begun its big move back home.

All-new shelving was installed this week in the expanded library building downtown.

Next week volunteers will begin moving materials from the library’s temporary quarters on North Seventh Street and back into the downtown building.

The big move will take place in January.

The City Council last week authorized the library to close down for two weeks, Jan. 18-30, to get all the books and materials moved into the new facility.
