Letter: Toxic trees unwelcome

I am writing this letter today to let pet owners know that there are toxic trees planted along the river walk.

I have tried repeatedly to convince the city council that the buckeye is not a good choice to be planted along the walk where a lot of us walk our fur babies.

The buckeye leaves, bark, sticks and the fruit are toxic to all animals with the exception of the squirrel who is more than happy to plant the fruit of the tree, the buckeyes, all over the neighborhood to further our problem.
