Tree clearing begins ahead of Hwy. 60 construction project

Motorists on Hwy. 60 will see crews begin tree clearing work between Hwy. 52 and Hwy. 63 as they prepare for the Hwy. 60 improvements project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Temporary lane closures may occur with flaggers directing traffic. Work is scheduled to be completed by March 31. The tree clearing is being done in the winter in advance of the construction season to ensure that nesting of endangered species (bats) is not disrupted.
