Board not enthused about redoing budget

At the beginning of the Jan. 19 Goodhue County Board meeting, Commissioner Jason Majerus requested that the commissioners go back and look at the 2016 capital plan to see if they could further reduce expenditures. The contentious request was met with mixed emotions.  Chairman Dan Rechtzigel suggested that the board discuss the issue later in the meeting, which is what they did.  
Majerus said, “I want a clarification of where we are at with the (2016) capital plan. I would like to look at the whole plan and see what we want to do as a board.”
