Workshop MEETING
AUGUST 15, 2022

Members Present: Mayor Mark Nichols, Amy Alkire, Megan Kramer, Cindy McGrath, Russell Boe, Faye Brown
Members Absent: Katie Novak
Staff Present: City Administrator Robert Keehn, City Clerk Kari Schreck, Finance Director Jerome Illg
Mayor Nichols called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. with a quorum present.
Motion Brown, second Alkire to adopt the agenda as presented. All ayes 6-0-0. Motion carried.
2023 Budget Update
The council reviewed the 2023 preliminary budget at the July council workshop. Staff has developed a list of possible budget adjustments with the appropriate levy budget percentage identified.
The following items were discussed to be reduced or eliminated or moved:
CEDA Port Authority contract- reduce the contract to 5 days  from 6.
Firehall parking lot entrance – needs further review & possible move to future year
Increase the amount of the pool family passes
LGA possible amount adjustment
Hok-Si-La house improvements - cap amount at $25,000.00
Reduce amount or eliminate the public works vehicle.
Downtown crosswalks and bump-outs - discussion was to reduce the amount for 2023 or bond for a future year with another project - perhaps city sidewalks
Motion Alkire, second McGrath to adjourn.  All ayes 6-0-0.  Motion carried
