NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LIVESTOCK
FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Hyde Park Holsteins L.L.P., has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Wabasha for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The existing and/or proposed feedlot will be located in the NE 1⁄4, of Section 4, Hyde Park Township in Wabasha County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 894 dairy cows, 708 heifers and 170 calves housed in total and partial confinement with earthen manure storage. The current animal unit capacity is 1781.2.  The proposed facility consists of 894 dairy cows, 708 heifers, 170 steers calves less than 400 pounds and 200 calves. They are housed in total and partial confinement with the same earthen manure storage. The total animal unit capacity will be 1822.2. We will be modifying the sand storage pad adding 60’x100’.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
A public meeting will be held at the dairy on December 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. for anyone who wishes to attend.
