ORDINANCE 622
CITY OF LAKE CITY, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XI, CHAPTER 110, RELATING TO USE OF LODGING TAX PROCEEDS
THE CITY OF LAKE CITY ORDAINS:
Section 1. Paragraph (C) of Section 110.56 of Title XI, Chapter 110 is hereby amended by deleting the stricken language as follows:
(C) Before the beginning of each calendar year for which the budget is to be effective, the Bureau shall submit to the City its annual operating budget for approval of the City Council. The budget shall detail the uses to which the proceeds shall be used consistent with the requirements of this subchapter and policies established by the City Council.  The Bureau shall submit to the City a copy of the Bureau’s quarterly financial statements, itemized and verified by the chairperson of said Bureau with the right of the City to access the Bureau’s books and records at any time during normal business hours for purposes of auditing revenue and expenditures.  The Bureau shall provide its annual financial audit performed by an independent certified public accounting firm and a copy thereof furnished to the City within 30 days following the completion thereof at no cost to the City.  The Bureau agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the City harmless for any claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of any act or omission on the part of the Bureau, its agents, contractors, or employees in the performance of or in relation to any work or service performed or furnished by the Bureau.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication in accordance with Section 3.09 of the Lake City Charter.
