Junior Band will premiere new song on March 10

People who attend the Lincoln High School band concert Friday, March 10, will be part of the first audience to hear the new composition “Upward and Onward” by Minnesota composer Lane Powell.
Powell, who lives in Harmony, Minn., applied for and received grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council to write the piece and distribute free copies to junior bands throughout the state.
