Historical Society: Amazing stories emerge at open hours events

This week’s Open Hours at the Lake City Historical Society (LCHS) brought in a number of long-time residents sharing remarkable objects and astonishing local stories.

LCHS Member Gary Myers accepted a donation of cartridges and bullets found at the Edge Of Town Motel near the site of the former Camp Lakeview. The donor then kept us captivated with his stories of Lake City over a span of decades which ranged from comic episodes to tragic events as well as some surprising discoveries.
